Introduce a setting to disable Spotlight while running the test suite This is a more principled approach to disabling Spotlight .dSYM lookups while running the testsuite, most importantly it also works for the LIT-based tests, which I overlooked in my initial fix (renaming the test build dir to lldb-tests.noindex). [lldb] Increase testsuite packet-timeout 5secs -> 1min rL357954 did increase `packet-timeout` 1sec -> 5secs. Which is IMO about the maximum timeout reasonable for regular use. But for testsuite I think the timeout should be higher as the testsuite runs in parallel and it can be run even on slow hosts and with other load (moreover if it runs on some slow arch). I have chosen 60 secs, that should be enough hopefully. Larger value could make debugging with hanging `lldb-server` annoying. Add EchoCommentCommands to CommandInterpreterRunOptions in addition to the existing EchoCommands and expose both as interpreter settings. Summary: Add settings to control command echoing: ``` (lldb) settings set interpreter.echo-commands true (lldb) settings set interpreter.echo-comment-commands true ``` Both settings default to true, which keeps LLDB's existing behavior in non-interactive mode (echo all command inputs to the output). So far the only way to change this behavior was the `--source-quietly` flag, which disables all output including evaluation results. Now `echo-commands` allows to turn off echoing for commands, while evaluation results are still printed. No effect if `--source-quietly` was present. `echo-comment-commands` allows to turn off echoing for commands in case they are pure comment lines. No effect if `echo-commands` is false. Note that the behavior does not change immediately! The new settings take effect only with the next command source. LLDB lit test are the main motivation for this feature. So far incoming `#CHECK` line have always been echoed to the output and so they could never fail. Now we can disable it in lit-lldb-init. Todos: Finish test for this feature. Add to lit-lldb-init. Check for failing lit tests. [test] Fix various module cache bugs and inconsistencies Currently, lit tests don't set neither the module cache for building inferiors nor the module cache used by lldb when running tests. Furthermore, we have several places where we rely on the path to the module cache being always the same, rather than passing the correct value around. This makes it hard to specify a different module cache path when debugging a a test. This patch reworks how we determine and pass around the module cache paths and fixes the omission on the lit side. It also adds a sanity check to the lit and dotest suites. [lldb] Disable auto fix-its when evaluating expressions in the test suite Summary: Currently the test suite runs with enabled automatically applied Clang fix-its for expressions. This is causing that sometimes incorrect expressions in tests are still evaluated even though they are actually incorrect. Let's disable this feature in the test suite so that we know when expressions are wrong and leave the fix-it testing to the dedicated tests for that feature. Also updates the `lang/cpp/operators/` test as it seems Clang needs the `struct` keywords before C and would otherwise fail without fixits. [lldb] Add an option to inherit TCC permissions from parent. Add an option that allows the user to decide to not make the inferior is responsible for its own TCC permissions. If you don't make the inferior responsible, it inherits the permissions of its parent. The motivation is the scenario of running the LLDB test suite from an external hard drive. If the inferior is responsible, every test needs to be granted access to the external volume. When the permissions are inherited, approval needs to be granted only once.
