[lld] Support RUN_LLD_MAIN_TWICE for the ELF port (#124441)
This enables the LLD_IN_TEST=2 testing mode for
```
path/to/llvm-lit -sv --param RUN_LLD_MAIN_TWICE=1 lld/test/ELF
```

When `Fatal` is called, `RunSafely` will return false.
For the first invocation in LLD_IN_TEST=2 mode, `inTestOutputDisabled`
is true and lld will not write to stdout/stderr, making many tests fail.
(This essentially discourages `Fatal` calls in the source code.)

Add XFAIL: main-run-twice to these tests similar to
https://reviews.llvm.org/D112898 for Mach-O

```
comment="This test intentionally checks for fatal errors, and fatal errors aren't supported for testing when main is run twice."
xargs </tmp/0 sed -Ei "1s/(;|#|\/\/) REQUIRES: .*/\0\n\1 "$comment"\n\1 XFAIL: main-run-twice/;t;1s/^/# "$comment"\n# XFAIL: main-run-twice\n/"
[lld] Add target support for SystemZ (s390x) (#75643)
This patch adds full support for linking SystemZ (ELF s390x) object
files. Support should be generally complete:
- All relocation types are supported.
- Full shared library support (DYNAMIC, GOT, PLT, ifunc).
- Relaxation of TLS and GOT relocations where appropriate.
- Platform-specific test cases.
In addition to new platform code and the obvious changes, there were a
few additional changes to common code:
- Add three new RelExpr members (R_GOTPLT_OFF, R_GOTPLT_PC, and
R_PLT_GOTREL) needed to support certain s390x relocations. I chose not
to use a platform-specific name since nothing in the definition of these
relocs is actually platform-specific; it is well possible that other
platforms will need the same.
- A couple of tweaks to TLS relocation handling, as the particular
semantics of the s390x versions differ slightly. See comments in the
code.
This was tested by building and testing >1500 Fedora packages, with only
a handful of failures; as these also have issues when building with LLD
on other architectures, they seem unrelated.
6084ee7420 [lld][ELF] Support LoongArch
This adds support for the LoongArch ELF psABI v2.00 [1] relocation
model to LLD. The deprecated stack-machine-based psABI v1 relocs are not
supported.
The code is tested by successfully bootstrapping a Gentoo/LoongArch
stage3, complete with common GNU userland tools and both the LLVM and
GNU toolchains (GNU toolchain is present only for building glibc,
LLVM+Clang+LLD are used for the rest). Large programs like QEMU are
tested to work as well.
7c20e7ca86 [ELF] Support -plugin-opt=stats-file=
This flag is added by clang::driver::tools::addLTOOptions() and was causing
-DTEST_SUITE_COLLECT_STATS=ON. This replaces the --stats-file= option
added in 1c04b52b2594d403f739ed919ef420b1e47ae343 since the flag is only
used for LTO and should therefore be in the -plugin-opt= namespace.
Additionally, this commit fixes the `REQUIRES: asserts` that was added in
d054c7ee2e Add test utility 'extract'
See https://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2020-July/143373.html
"[llvm-dev] Multiple documents in one test file" for some discussions.
`extract part filename` splits the input file into multiple parts separated by
regex `^(.|//)--- ` and extract the specified part to stdout or the
output file (if specified).
Use case A (organizing input of different formats (e.g. linker
script+assembly) in one file).
```
// RUN: extract lds %s -o %t.lds
// RUN: extract asm %s -o %t.s
// RUN: llvm-mc %t.s -o %t.o
// RUN: ld.lld -T %t.lds %t.o -o %t
This is sometimes better than the %S/Inputs/ approach because the user
can see the auxiliary files immediately and don't have to open another file.
```
Use case B (for utilities which don't have built-in input splitting
feature):
```
// RUN: extract case1 %s | llc | FileCheck %s --check-prefix=CASE1
// RUN: extract case2 %s | llc | FileCheck %s --check-prefix=CASE2
Combing tests prudently can improve readability.
This is sometimes better than having multiple test files.
```
Since this is a new utility, there is no git history concerns for
UpperCase variable names. I use lowerCase variable names like mlir/lld.
5cd9c6bcd8 Support RISC-V
Patch by PkmX.
This patch makes lld recognize RISC-V target and implements basic
relocation for RV32/RV64 (and RVC). This should be necessary for static
linking ELF applications.
The ABI documentation for RISC-V can be found at:
https://github.com/riscv/riscv-elf-psabi-doc/blob/master/riscv-elf.md.
Note that the documentation is far from complete so we had to figure out
some details from bfd.
The patch should be pretty straightforward. Some highlights:
 - A new relocation Expr R_RISCV_PC_INDIRECT is added. This is needed as
   the low part of a PC-relative relocation is linked to the corresponding
   high part (auipc), see:
   https://github.com/riscv/riscv-elf-psabi-doc/blob/master/riscv-elf.md#pc-relative-symbol-addresses
 - LLVM's MC support for RISC-V is very incomplete (we are working on
   this), so tests are given in objectyaml format with the original
   assembly included in the comments. Once we have complete support for
   RISC-V in MC, we can switch to llvm-as/llvm-objdump.
 - We don't support linker relaxation for now as it requires greater
   changes to lld that is beyond the scope of this patch. Once this is
   accepted we can start to work on adding relaxation to lld.
de53aaf132 Support embedding natvis files in PDBs.
Natvis is a debug language supported by Visual Studio for
specifying custom visualizers.  The /NATVIS option is an
undocumented link.exe flag which will take a .natvis file
and "inject" it into the PDB.  This way, you can ship the
debug visualizers for a program along with the PDB, which
is very useful for postmortem debugging.
This is implemented by adding a new "named stream" to the
PDB with a special name of /src/files/<natvis file name>
and simply copying the contents of the xml into this file.
Additionally, we need to emit a single stream named
/src/headerblock which contains a hash table of embedded
files to records describing them.
This patch adds this functionality, including the /NATVIS
option to lld-link.
Now "--full-shutdown" is removed, and LLD_IN_TEST environment variable
is used instead.
This patch enables full shutdown on all ports, e.g. ELF, COFF and wasm.
Previously, we enabled it only for ELF.
85e68a6601 [lit] Respect LLVM_LIT_TOOLS_DIR when looking for 'tar' on Windows.
Changes in D38977 expect 'tar' to be found in one of PATH directories.
On Windows, one might opt to use LLVM_LIT_TOOLS_DIR rather than add MSYS
tools directory to the PATH. In that case, tests for lld failed on run.
