2e18f636fd Fix some unit tests for LLVM_ENABLE_EXPORTED_SYMBOLS_IN_EXECUTABLES=Off.
Building with -DLLVM_ENABLE_EXPORTED_SYMBOLS_IN_EXECUTABLES=Off should not
prevent the PluginsTests and DynamicLibraryTests unit tests from working.

This fix uses the approach implemented in
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/101741.

[LLVM][NewPM] Add C API for running the pipeline on a single function. (#103773)
By adding a new entrypoint, `LLVMRunPassesOnFunction`, as suggested in
https://discourse.llvm.org/t/newpm-c-api-questions/80598.

Also removes erroneous `LLVMConsumeError`s from the pass builder unit
tests as the string conversion already consumes the error, causing an
abort when the test would fail.

[LLVM][NewPM] Add a C API for setting the PassBuilder AA pipeline. (#102482)
This PR adds a field to the pass builder options struct, `AAPipeline`,
exposed through a C API `LLVMPassBuilderOptionsSetAAPipeline`, that is
used to set an alias analysis pipeline to be used in stead of the
default one.

Reapply "[CMake] Fold export_executable_symbols_* into function args. (#101741)" (#102138)
Fix the builds with LLVM_TOOL_LLVM_DRIVER_BUILD enabled.

LLVM_ENABLE_EXPORTED_SYMBOLS_IN_EXECUTABLES is not completely
compatible with export_executable_symbols as the later will be ignored
if the previous is set to NO.

Fix the issue by passing if symbols need to be exported to
llvm_add_exectuable so the link flag can be determined directly
without calling export_executable_symbols_* later.

a6ea0185d6 [llvm] CYGWIN: Fix build of some plugins/library/unittests
CYGWIN uses the same format of WIN32 for shared libraries.
As the comment says: "a shared library can't have undefined references", in this case CYGWIN must be handled like WIN32 by CMakeLists.txt, otherwise you will get several errors when linking because some symbols are undefined.
Attached patch fixes this issue and allows to complete the build process for those targets.

7fc871591f [unittests] Use GTEST_SKIP() instead of return when appropriate
Basically NFC: A TEST/TEST_F/etc that bails out early (usually because
setup failed or some other runtime condition wasn't met) generally
should use GTEST_SKIP() to report its status correctly, unless it
takes steps to report another status (e.g., FAIL()).

I did see a handful of tests show up as SKIPPED after this change,
which is not unexpected. The status seemed appropriate in all the new
cases.

f617ab1044 [NPM] Resolve llvmGetPassPluginInfo to the plugin being loaded
Dynamically loaded plugins for the new pass manager are initialised by
calling llvmGetPassPluginInfo. This is defined as a weak symbol so that
it is continually redefined by each plugin that is loaded. When loading
a plugin from a shared library, the intention is that
llvmGetPassPluginInfo will be resolved to the definition in the most
recent plugin. However, using a global search for this resolution can
fail in situations where multiple plugins are loaded.

Currently:

* If a plugin does not define llvmGetPassPluginInfo, then it will be
silently resolved to the previous plugin's definition.

* If loading the same plugin twice with another in between, e.g. plugin
A/plugin B/plugin A, then the second load of plugin A will resolve to
  llvmGetPassPluginInfo in plugin B.

* The previous case can also occur when a dynamic library defines both
NPM and legacy plugins; the legacy plugins are loaded first and then
  with `-fplugin=A -fpass-plugin=B -fpass-plugin=A`: A will be loaded as
a legacy plugin and define llvmGetPassPluginInfo; B will be loaded
and redefine it; and finally when A is loaded as an NPM plugin it will
be resolved to the definition from B.

Instead of searching globally, restrict the symbol lookup to the library
that is currently being loaded.

82d3c0759f [AIX] Add %pluginext and update tests to use proper pluginext
As a follow on to D96282, since bug point passes is built as a module the proper file extension to use is LLVM_PLUGIN_EXT, rather than SHLIBEXT. Using SHLIBEXT causes the tests to load a non-existent file on AIX. We also adjust the PluginsTest unittest to use LLVM_PLUGIN_EXT for similar reasons.

This change should hopefully make little difference to other platforms, since generally `SHLIBEXT=LTDL_SHLIB_EXT=CMAKE_SHARED_LIBRARY_SUFFIX` and `LLVM_PLUGIN_EXT=CMAKE_SHARED_LIBRARY_SUFFIX` on every platform except AIX.

This is how it should've been and brings it more in line with

This is mostly mechanical from a custom clang-tidy check, with a lot of

2946cd7010 Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo
to reflect the new license.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.

Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

5533357c38 Fix build warning compiling TestPlugin on Windows and disable Passes plugin stuff on Windows since it fundamentally can't work
Aaron Ballman reported that TestPlugin warned about it using exception handling
without /EHsc flag, and that llvmGetPassInfo() had conflicting export
attributes (dllimport in the header, dllexport in the source file).

/EHsc is because TestPlugin didn't use the llvm_ cmake functions, so
llvm_update_compile_flags didn't get called for the target
(llvm_update_compile_flags explicitly passes /Ehs-c-, which fixes the warning).
Use add_llvm_loadable_module instead of add_library(... MODULE) to fix this.
This also has the side effect of not building the plugin on Windows. That's not
a big problem, since before the plugin was built on Windows, but the test
didn't attempt to load it, due to -DLLVM_ENABLE_PLUGIN not being passed to
PluginsTests.cpp during compilation on Windows. This makes the plugin behavior
consistent with e.g. lib/Transforms/Hello/CMakeLists.txt. (This also
automatically sets LTDL_SHLIB_EXT correctly.)

The dllimport/dllexport warning is more serious: Since LLVM doesn't generally
use export annotations for its code, the only way the plugin could link was by
linking in some LLVM libraries both into the test and the dll, so the plugin
would call the llvm code in the dll instead of the copy in the main executable.
This means globals weren't shared, and things generally can't work. (I think
there's a build config where you can build a LLVM.dll which might work, but
that wasn't how the test was configured. If that config is used, the dll should
still be built, but I haven't checked).

Now that add_llvm_loadable_module is used, LLVM_LINK_COMPONENTS got linked into
both executable and plugin on posix too, so unset it after the executable so
that the plugin doesn't end up with a 2nd copy of things on posix.

1238981938 Give shared modules in unittests the platform-native extension, make PipSqueak a MODULE
As far as I can tell from revision history, there's no good reason to call
these files .so instead of .dll in Windows, so use the normal extension.

Also change PipSquak from SHARED to MODULE -- it's never passed to
target_link_libraries() and only loaded via dlopen(), so MODULE is more
appropriate. This makes it possible to delete a workaround for SHARED ldflags
being not quite right as well.

No intended behavior change.
