a5519b99bc [sanitizer] Don't intercept LFS64 symbols on musl
LFS64 symbols in musl are for glibc-ABI-compat and not intended for linking
(correct usage will not create LFS64 references). The next release 1.2.4 will
disallow linking against LFS64 symbols[1].

For sanitizers, let's just remove LFS64 interceptors. In case of erroneous LFS64
references, asan/tsan will detect fewer problems and msan may have false
positives.

255c3e3dcb Reland "[compiler-rt][test] Heed COMPILER_RT_DEBUG when compiling unittests"
When trying to debug some `compiler-rt` unittests, I initially had a hard
time because

- even in a `Debug` build one needs to set `COMPILER_RT_DEBUG` to get
  debugging info for some of the code and
- even so the unittests used a hardcoded `-O2` which often makes debugging
  impossible.

This patch addresses this by instead using `-O0` if `COMPILER_RT_DEBUG`.

Changes relative to the previous commit:

- Use `string(APPEND)` for `COMPILER_RT_TEST_COMPILER_CFLAGS`.
- Omit `-O3` from `COMPILER_RT_TEST_COMPILER_CFLAGS` in non-debug builds for now.
- Provide `__sanitizer::integral_constant<bool, true>::value` instantiation
  for `sanitizer_type_traits_test.cpp` in debug builds.
- Disable subtests of `tsan/tests/unit/tsan_trace_test.cpp` that deadlock
  in debug builds.
- `XFAIL` `tsan/Linux/check_memcpy.c` in debug builds.

Tested on `sparcv9-sun-solaris2.11`, `amd64-pc-solaris2.11`, and
`x86_64-pc-linux-gnu`.

78c033b541 [sanitizers][windows] Correctly override functions with backward jmps
To reproduce: Download and run the latest Firefox ASAN build (https://firefox-ci-tc.services.mozilla.com/api/index/v1/task/gecko.v2.mozilla-central.latest.firefox.win64-asan-opt/artifacts/public/build/target.zip) on Windows 11 (version 10.0.22621 Build 22621); it will crash on launch. Note that this doesn't seem to crash on another Windows 11 VM I've tried, so I'm not sure how reproducible it is across machines, but it reproduces on my machine every time.

The problem seems to be that when overriding the memset function in OverrideFunctionWithRedirectJump(), the relative_offset is stored as a uptr. Per the Intel x64 instruction set reference (https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/manuals/64-ia-32-architectures-software-developer-instruction-set-reference-manual-325383.pdf - warning: large PDF), on page 646 the jmp instruction (specifically the near jump flavors that start with E9, which are the ones the OverrideFunctionWithRedirectJump() considers) treats the offset as a signed displacement. This causes an incorrect value to be stored for REAL(memset) which points to uninitialized memory, and a crash the next time that gets called.

The fix is to simply treat that offset as signed. I have also added a test case.

9f37775472 [cmake] Prefix gtest and gtest_main with "llvm_".
The upstream project ships CMake rules for building vanilla gtest/gmock which conflict with the names chosen by LLVM. Since LLVM's build rules here are quite specific to LLVM, prefixing them to avoid collision is the right thing (i.e. there does not appear to be a path to letting someone *replace* LLVM's googletest with one they bring, so co-existence should be the goal).

This allows LLVM to be included with testing enabled within projects that themselves have a dependency on an official gtest release.

5d1df6d220 sanitizers: increase .clang-format columns to 100
The current (default) line length is 80 columns.
That's based on old hardware and historical conventions.
There are no existent reasons to keep line length that small,
especially provided that our coding style uses quite lengthy
identifiers. The Linux kernel recently switched to 100,
let's start with 100 as well.

This change intentionally does not re-format code.
Re-formatting is intended to happen incrementally,
or on dir-by-dir basis separately.

2fec8860d8 [sanitizer] Set IndentPPDirectives: AfterHash in .clang-format
Code patterns like this are common, `#` at the line beginning
(https://google.github.io/styleguide/cppguide.html#Preprocessor_Directives),
one space indentation for if/elif/else directives.
```
#if SANITIZER_LINUX
# if defined(__aarch64__)
# endif
#endif
```

However, currently clang-format wants to reformat the code to
```
#if SANITIZER_LINUX
#if defined(__aarch64__)
#endif
#endif
```

This significantly harms readability in my review. Use `IndentPPDirectives:
AfterHash` to defeat the diagnostic. clang-format will now suggest:

```
#if SANITIZER_LINUX
#  if defined(__aarch64__)
#  endif
#endif
```

Unfortunately there is no clang-format option using indent with 1 for
just preprocessor directives. However, this is still one step forward
from the current behavior.

7afdc89c20 [sanitizer] Define SANITIZER_GLIBC to refine SANITIZER_LINUX feature detection and support musl
Several `#if SANITIZER_LINUX && !SANITIZER_ANDROID` guards are replaced
with the more appropriate `#if SANITIZER_GLIBC` (the headers are glibc
extensions, not specific to Linux (i.e. if we ever support GNU/kFreeBSD
or Hurd, the guards may automatically work)).

Several `#if SANITIZER_LINUX && !SANITIZER_ANDROID` guards are refined
with `#if SANITIZER_GLIBC` (the definitions are available on Linux glibc,
but may not be available on other libc (e.g. musl) implementations).

This patch makes `ninja asan cfi lsan msan stats tsan ubsan xray` build on a musl based Linux distribution (apk install musl-libintl)
Notes about disabled interceptors for musl:

* `SANITIZER_INTERCEPT_GLOB`: musl does not implement `GLOB_ALTDIRFUNC` (GNU extension)
* Some ioctl structs and functions operating on them.
* `SANITIZER_INTERCEPT___PRINTF_CHK`: `_FORTIFY_SOURCE` functions are GNU extension
* `SANITIZER_INTERCEPT___STRNDUP`: `dlsym(RTLD_NEXT, "__strndup")` errors so a diagnostic is formed. The diagnostic uses `write` which hasn't been intercepted => SIGSEGV
* `SANITIZER_INTERCEPT_*64`: the `_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE` functions are glibc specific. musl does something like `#define pread64 pread`
* Disabled `msg_iovlen msg_controllen cmsg_len` checks: musl is conforming while many implementations (Linux/FreeBSD/NetBSD/Solaris) are non-conforming. Since we pick the glibc definition, exclude the checks for musl (incompatible sizes but compatible offsets)

Pass through LIBCXX_HAS_MUSL_LIBC to make check-msan/check-tsan able to build libc++ (https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48618).

Many sanitizer features are available now.

See https://reviews.llvm.org/D58620 for discussion, and for the commands
I ran. In addition I also ran

and manually updated references to renamed files found by that.

91c166cbb0 [Sanitizer] Reland "Cleanup INTERCEPT_FUNCTION macro"
On Linux both version of the INTERCEPT_FUNCTION macro now return true
when interception was successful. Adapt and cleanup some usages.

Also note that `&(func) == &WRAP(func)` is a link-time property, but we
do a runtime check.

Tested on Linux and macOS.

Previous attempt reverted by: 5642c3feb03d020dc06a62e3dc54f3206a97a391

This attempt to bring order to the interceptor macro goes the other
direction and aligns the Linux implementation with the way things are
done on Windows.

5642c3feb0 Revert r359325 "[NFC][Sanitizer] Change "return type" of INTERCEPT_FUNCTION to void"
Changing INTERCEPT_FUNCTION to return void is not functionally correct.
IMO the best way to communicate failure or success of interception is
with a return value, not some external address comparison.

This change was also creating link errors for _except_handler4_common,
which is exported from ucrtbase.dll in 32-bit Windows.

Also revert dependent changes r359362 and r359466.
