Currently, `NamespaceDecl` has a member `AnonOrFirstNamespaceAndFlags`
which stores a few pieces of data:
- a bit indicating whether the namespace was declared `inline`, and
- a bit indicating whether the namespace was declared as a
_nested-namespace-definition_, and
- a pointer a `NamespaceDecl` that either stores:
- a pointer to the first declaration of that namespace if the
declaration is no the first declaration, or
- a pointer to the unnamed namespace that inhabits the namespace
otherwise.
`Redeclarable` already stores a pointer to the first declaration of an
entity, so it's unnecessary to store this in `NamespaceDecl`.
`DeclContext` has 8 bytes in which various bitfields can be stored for a
declaration, so it's not necessary to store these in `NamespaceDecl`
either. We only need to store a pointer to the unnamed namespace that
inhabits the first declaration of a namespace. This patch moves the two
bits currently stored in `NamespaceDecl` to `DeclContext`, and only
stores a pointer to the unnamed namespace that inhabits a namespace in
the first declaration of that namespace. Since `getOriginalNamespace`
always returns the same `NamespaceDecl` as `getFirstDecl`, this function
is removed to avoid confusion.
This patch introduces a new enumerator `Invalid = 0`, shifting other enumerators by +1. Contrary to how it might sound, this actually affirms status quo of how this enum is stored in `clang::Decl`:
```
/// If 0, we have not computed the linkage of this declaration.
/// Otherwise, it is the linkage + 1.
mutable unsigned CacheValidAndLinkage : 3;
```
This patch makes debuggers to not be mistaken about enumerator stored in this bit-field. It also converts `clang::Linkage` to a scoped enum.
This patch swaps out the `void *` behind `CXFile` from `FileEntry *` to `FileEntryRef::MapEntry *`. This allows us to remove some deprecated uses of `FileEntry::getName()`.

As the diagnostic message shows, we should remove -fmodules-ts flag in
clang/llvm17. Since clang/llvm16 is already branched. We can remove the
depreacared flag now.
The needed tweaks are mostly trivial, the one nasty bit is Clang's usage
of OptionalStorage. To keep this working old Optional stays around as
clang::CustomizableOptional, with the default Storage removed.
Optional<File/DirectoryEntryRef> is replaced with a typedef.
I tested this with GCC 7.5, the oldest supported GCC I had around.
Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D140332
This reverts commit 8f0df9f3bbc6d7f3d5cbfd955c5ee4404c53a75d.
The Optional*RefDegradesTo*EntryPtr types want to keep the same size as
the underlying type, which std::optional doesn't guarantee. For use with
llvm::Optional, they define their own storage class, and there is no way
to do that in std::optional.
On top of that, that commit broke builds with older GCCs, where
std::optional was not trivially copyable (static_assert in the clang
sources was failing).
This commit builds upon recently added indexing support for C++ concepts
from https://reviews.llvm.org/D124441 by extending libclang to
support indexing and visiting concepts, constraints and requires
expressions as well.
Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D126031
Add support for concepts and requires expression in the clang index.
Genarate USRs for concepts.
Also change how `RecursiveASTVisitor` handles return type requirement in
requires expressions. The new code unpacks the synthetic template parameter
list used for storing the actual expression. This simplifies
implementation of the indexing. No code seems to depend on the original
traversal anyway and the synthesized template parameter list is easily
accessible from inside the requires expression if needed.
Add tests in the clangd codebase.

This patch changes type of the `File` parameter in `PPCallbacks::InclusionDirective()` from `const FileEntry *` to `Optional<FileEntryRef>`.
With the API change in place, this patch then removes some uses of the deprecated `FileEntry::getName()` (e.g. in `DependencyGraph.cpp` and `ModuleDependencyCollector.cpp`).

to reflect the new license.
We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.
Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

The FileID/Offset conversion is lossy. The code takes the fileLoc, which loses
e.g. the spelling location in some macro cases.
Instead, pass the original SourceLocation which preserves all information, and
update consumers to match current behavior.
This allows us to fix two bugs in clangd that need the spelling location.
