e842c06c2d [IR] Use std::nullopt instead of None (NFC)
This patch mechanically replaces None with std::nullopt where the
compiler would warn if None were deprecated. The intent is to reduce
the amount of manual work required in migrating from Optional to
std::optional.

This is part of an effort to migrate from llvm::Optional to
std::optional:

bb2832410e [IRBuilder] CreateIntrinsic with implicit mangling
Add a new IRBuilderBase::CreateIntrinsic which takes the return type and
argument values for the intrinsic call but does not take an explicit
list of types to mangle. Instead the builder works this out from the
intrinsic declaration and the types of the supplied arguments.

This means that the mangling is hidden from the client, which in turn
means that intrinsic definitions can change which arguments are mangled
without requiring any changes to the client code.

9701053517 Introduce @llvm.threadlocal.address intrinsic to access TLS variable
This belongs to a series of patches which try to solve the thread
identification problem in coroutines. See
https://discourse.llvm.org/t/address-thread-identification-problems-with-coroutine/62015
for a full background.

The problem consists of two concrete problems: TLS variable and readnone
functions. This patch tries to convert the TLS problem to readnone
problem by converting the access of TLS variable to an intrinsic which
is marked as readnone.

The readnone problem would be addressed in following patches.

38637ee477 [clang] Add support for __builtin_memset_inline
In the same spirit as D73543 and in reply to https://reviews.llvm.org/D126768#3549920 this patch is adding support for `__builtin_memset_inline`.

The idea is to get support from the compiler to easily write efficient memory function implementations.

This patch could be split in two:
 - one for the LLVM part adding the `llvm.memset.inline.*` intrinsics.
 - and another one for the Clang part providing the instrinsic as a builtin.

ffe8720aa0 Reduce dependencies on llvm/BinaryFormat/Dwarf.h
This header is very large (3M Lines once expended) and was included in location
where dwarf-specific information were not needed.

More specifically, this commit suppresses the dependencies on
llvm/BinaryFormat/Dwarf.h in two headers: llvm/IR/IRBuilder.h and
llvm/IR/DebugInfoMetadata.h. As these headers (esp. the former) are widely used,
this has a decent impact on number of preprocessed lines generated during
compilation of LLVM, as showcased below.

This is achieved by moving some definitions back to the .cpp file, no
performance impact implied[0].

As a consequence of that patch, downstream user may need to manually some extra
files:

llvm/IR/IRBuilder.h no longer includes llvm/BinaryFormat/Dwarf.h
llvm/IR/DebugInfoMetadata.h no longer includes llvm/BinaryFormat/Dwarf.h

In some situations, codes maybe relying on the fact that
llvm/BinaryFormat/Dwarf.h was including llvm/ADT/Triple.h, this hidden
dependency now needs to be explicit.

Based on the output of include-what-you-use.

This is a big chunk of changes. It is very likely to break downstream code
unless they took a lot of care in avoiding hidden ehader dependencies, something
the LLVM codebase doesn't do that well :-/

I've tried to summarize the biggest change below:

- llvm/include/llvm-c/Core.h: no longer includes llvm-c/ErrorHandling.h
- llvm/IR/DIBuilder.h no longer includes llvm/IR/DebugInfo.h
- llvm/IR/IRBuilder.h no longer includes llvm/IR/IntrinsicInst.h
- llvm/IR/LLVMRemarkStreamer.h no longer includes llvm/Support/ToolOutputFile.h
- llvm/IR/LegacyPassManager.h no longer include llvm/Pass.h
- llvm/IR/Type.h no longer includes llvm/ADT/SmallPtrSet.h
- llvm/IR/PassManager.h no longer includes llvm/Pass.h nor llvm/Support/Debug.h

And the usual count of preprocessed lines:
$ clang++ -E  -Iinclude -I../llvm/include ../llvm/lib/IR/*.cpp -std=c++14 -fno-rtti -fno-exceptions | wc -l
before: 6400831
after:  6189948

200k lines less to process is no that bad ;-)

[IR] IRBuilderBase::CreateSelect(): if cond is a constant i1, short-circuit
While we could emit such a tautological `select`,
it will stick around until the next instsimplify invocation,
which may happen after we count the cost of this redundant `select`.
Which is precisely what happens with loop vectorization legality checks,

which is bad.

There is prior art for this in `IRBuilderBase::CreateAnd()`/`IRBuilderBase::CreateOr()`.

 * Adds a verifier check that the attribute is required.
 * Adds it in the IRBuilder methods for these intrinsics.
 * Autoupgrades old bitcode without the attribute.
 * Updates the lowering code to use the attribute rather than
   the pointer element type.
 * Updates lots of tests to specify the attribute.
 * Adds -force-opaque-pointers to the intrinsic-array.ll test

4d26f41f76 [RS4GC] Introduce intrinsics to get base ptr and offset
There can be a need for some optimizations to get (base, offset)
for any GC pointer. The base can be calculated by generating
needed instructions as it is done by the
RewriteStatepointsForGC::findBasePointer() function. The offset
can be calculated in the same way. Though to not expose the base
calculation and to make the offset calculation as simple as
ptrtoint(derived_ptr) - ptrtoint(base_ptr), which is illegal
outside RS4GC, this patch introduces 2 intrinsics:

 @llvm.experimental.gc.get.pointer.base(%derived_ptr)
 @llvm.experimental.gc.get.pointer.offset(%derived_ptr)

These intrinsics are inlined by RS4GC along with generation of
statepoint sequences.

With these new intrinsics the GC parseable lowering for atomic
memcpy intrinsics (6ec2c5e402a724ba99bce82a9cac7a3006d660f4)
could be implemented as a separate pass.

returns a splice intrinsic for scalable types. For fixed-width the behaviour

748ae5281d [IR][SVE] Add new llvm.experimental.stepvector intrinsic
This patch adds a new llvm.experimental.stepvector intrinsic,
which takes no arguments and returns a linear integer sequence of
values of the form <0, 1, ...>. It is primarily intended for
scalable vectors, although it will work for fixed width vectors
too. It is intended that later patches will make use of this
new intrinsic when vectorising induction variables, currently only
supported for fixed width. I've added a new CreateStepVector
method to the IRBuilder, which will generate a call to this
intrinsic for scalable vectors and fall back on creating a
ConstantVector for fixed width.

For scalable vectors this intrinsic is lowered to a new ISD node
called STEP_VECTOR, which takes a single constant integer argument
as the step. During lowering this argument is set to a value of 1.
The reason for this additional argument at the codegen level is
because in future patches we will introduce various generic DAG
combines such as

  mul step_vector(1), 2 -> step_vector(2)
  add step_vector(1), step_vector(1) -> step_vector(2)
  shl step_vector(1), 1 -> step_vector(2)
  etc.

that encourage a canonical format for all targets. This hopefully
means all other targets supporting scalable vectors can benefit
from this too.

I've added cost model tests for both fixed width and scalable
vectors:

  llvm/test/Analysis/CostModel/AArch64/neon-stepvector.ll
  llvm/test/Analysis/CostModel/AArch64/sve-stepvector.ll

as well as codegen lowering tests for fixed width and scalable
vectors:

  llvm/test/CodeGen/AArch64/neon-stepvector.ll
  llvm/test/CodeGen/AArch64/sve-stepvector.ll

3c03635d53 [SVE][LoopVectorize] Add support for scalable vectorization of loops with vector reverse
This patch adds support for reverse loop vectorization.
It is possible to vectorize the following loop:
```
  for (int i = n-1; i >= 0; --i)
    a[i] = b[i] + 1.0;
```
with fixed or scalable vector.
The loop-vectorizer will use 'reverse' on the loads/stores to make
sure the lanes themselves are also handled in the right order.
This patch adds support for scalable vector on IRBuilder interface to
create a reverse vector. The IR function
CreateVectorReverse lowers to experimental.vector.reverse for scalable vector
and keedp the original behavior for fixed vector using shuffle reverse.

with ScalableVectorType and adds isLegalMaskedGather/Scatter functions
to AArch64TargetTransformInfo. In addition I've fixed up

cost for scalable vectors, since currently this relies upon using shuffle
vector for reversing vectors. In addition, in
LoopVectorizationCostModel::setCostBasedWideningDecision I have assumed
that the cost of scalarising memory ops is infinitely expensive.

I have added some simple masked load/store and gather/scatter tests,
including cases where we use gathers and scatters for conditional invariant
loads and stores.

fa5d22a045 [OpenMP][NFC] Reuse OMPIRBuilder struct ident_t handling in Clang
Replace the `ident_t` handling in Clang with the methods offered by the
OMPIRBuilder. This cuts down on the clang code as well as the
differences between the two, making further transitions easier. Tests
have changed but there should not be a real functional change. The most
interesting difference is probably that we stop generating local ident_t
allocations for now and just use globals. Given that this happens only
with debug info, the location part of the `ident_t` is probably bigger
than the test anyway. As the location part is already a global, we can
avoid the allocation, memcpy, and store in favor of a constant global
that is slightly bigger. This can be revisited if there are
complications.
