fa6b9e4010 [libc++] Normalize all our '#pragma GCC system_header', and regression-test.
Now we'll notice if a header forgets to include this magic phrase.

bd6e6846e7 [libc++] Add the version header to all headers.
Some headers which require the version header depend on other headers to
provide it. Include the version header in all top-level headers to make
sure a header cleanup can't remove the version header.

Note this doesn't add the version header to the c headers.

eb8650a757 [runtimes][NFC] Remove filenames at the top of the license notice
We've stopped doing it in libc++ for a while now because these names
would end up rotting as we move things around and copy/paste stuff.
This cleans up all the existing files so as to stop the spreading
as people copy-paste headers around.

f4c1258d56 [libc++] Add an option to disable wide character support in libc++
Some embedded platforms do not wish to support the C library functionality
for handling wchar_t because they have no use for it. It makes sense for
libc++ to work properly on those platforms, so this commit adds a carve-out
of functionality for wchar_t.

Unfortunately, unlike some other carve-outs (e.g. random device), this
patch touches several parts of the library. However, despite the wide
impact of this patch, I still think it is important to support this
configuration since it makes it much simpler to port libc++ to some
embedded platforms.

71752e0008 [libc++][NFC] Remove #endif comments for really small conditionals on _LIBCPP_HAS_NO_UNICODE_CHARS
We generally don't put a comment on the #endif when the #if block is so small
that it's unambiguous what the #endif refers to.

2a2c228c7a Add new 'preferred_name' attribute.
This attribute permits a typedef to be associated with a class template
specialization as a preferred way of naming that class template
specialization. This permits us to specify that (for example) the
preferred way to express 'std::basic_string<char>' is as 'std::string'.

The attribute is applied to the various class templates in libc++ that have
corresponding well-known typedef names.

This is a re-commit. The previous commit was reverted because it exposed
a pre-existing bug that has since been fixed / worked around; see
PR48434.

a1344779ab Revert "Add new 'preferred_name' attribute."
This change exposed a pre-existing issue with deserialization cycles
caused by a combination of attributes and template instantiations
violating the deserialization ordering restrictions; see PR48434 for
details.

A previous commit attempted to work around PR48434, but appears to have
only been a partial fix, and fixing this properly seems non-trivial.
Backing out for now to unblock things.

This reverts commit 98f76adf4e941738c0b9fe3b9965fa63603e9c89 and
commit a64c26a47a81b1b44e36d235ff3bc6a74a0bad9f.

6abc15ae3c [libc++] Reduce dependencies on <iostream> from <random>
We included <istream> and <ostream> from <random>, but really it is
sufficient to include <iosfwd> if we make sure we access ios_base
members through a dependent type. This allows us to break a hard
dependency of <random> on locales.

57b08b0944 Update more file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo
to reflect the new license. These used slightly different spellings that
defeated my regular expressions.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.

Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

e2f2d1edef [NFC] Rename _LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS_ONLY to _LIBCPP_TEMPLATE_VIS
The name _LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS_ONLY is no longer accurate because both
_LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS and _LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS_ONLY expand to
__attribute__((__type_visibility__)) with Clang. The only remaining difference
is that _LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS_ONLY can be applied to templates whereas
_LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS cannot (due to dllimport/dllexport not being allowed on
templates).

This patch renames _LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS_ONLY to _LIBCPP_TEMPLATE_VIS.

39c193b1f0 Make __wrap_iter work with GCC again
Summary:
This bug was originally fixed in http://reviews.llvm.org/D7201. 

However it was broken again by the fix to https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=22605.

This patch re-fixes __wrap_iter with GCC by providing a forward declaration of <vector> before the friend declaration in __wrap_iter.
This patch avoids the issues in PR22605 by putting canonical forward declarations in <iosfwd> and including <iosfwd> in <vector>.

<iosfwd> was chosen as the canonical forward declaration headers for the following reasons:

1. `<iosfwd>` is small with almost no dependancies.
2. It already forward declares `std::allocator`
3. It is already included in `<iterator>` which we need to fix the GCC bug.

This patch fixes the test "gcc_workaround.pass.cpp"

6e41256f68 No functionality change at this time. I've split _LIBCPP_VISIBLE up into two flags: _LIBCPP_TYPE_VIS and _LIBCPP_FUNC_VIS. This is in preparation for taking advantage of clang's new __type_visibility__ attribute.

f9cca3b7d0 I am experimenting with putting visibility-default attributes on all struct/classes in libc++. This checkin decorates only basic_string and vector as an experiment, and for review by those in this audience that might know more about visibilty than I do. If I get no negative feedback on this procedure I will begin to decorate the entire library in this way.

128ba7191d patch by Jeffrey Yasskin for porting to Ubuntu Hardy. Everything was accepted except there were some bug fixes needed in <locale> for the __nolocale_* series. For the apple branch I ended up using templates instead of the var_args solution because it seemed both safer and more efficient.
